So I was doing a bit of research yesterday and realised eBay have pretty much got their bases covered when it comes to advertising via adwords. They obviously don’t want to miss out on anything. This made me chuckle so I thought I would post a picture.
I wonder how much money they are losing via these ads?

£3.50 for an Aberdeen Angus whopper meal with a coke!? f**k that I’ll get one on eBay

Zinc, I ain’t bothered about the money they are losing out on, but what does annoy me is my keywords being turned down as Google say they are not relevant to the campaign or landing page etc.
However, because eBay are in bed with Google, they can pretty much have a free reign on what words they choose to advertise on.
After many discussions with Google, they still insist that all adword accounts are treated and inspected fairly, as are campaigns…. yeah right

I agree Frostie - top brands do get preferential treatment.
It makes you sick but I guess they are one of Google’s big customers probably pulling in a large % of their revenue.

I used to make a fair whack on ebay ppc until the nutters went loopy and bid up everything. I think they’re just trying to prevent others making cash out of their brand.
